YAKUWARI
In my work, I expressed my experience through a self-portrait since I came to Japan. I listened to the stories of people who felt the pressure from Japanese society and tried to convey all their and my feelings through photographs.
“You are a foreigner, so it can’t be helped.”
I think every country has that kind of thing. But now that I live here in Tokyo, I often wonder what my role in this society is.
